The Wave
As there are less new buildings going up in Hong Kong after 1997, this project intends to bring commercial value by converting this old 15-storey office building on Nathan Road into a “Ginza-type” building allowing cafes and bars stacked vertically on floors above. The name is changed to "THE WAVE" and the lobby which consists of a long narrow corridor space of over 15 meters long and over 4 meters high is recreated with 100 different curved ribs forming a “wave” washed with ever-changing LED lights.
